Day 1: Welcome to Ghana – Arrival in Accra

Arrival: Private airport pickup to Villa Monticello (if VIP option chosen) or self-arrival.
Welcome Dinner: Elegant dinner at the hotel featuring Ghanaian delicacies fused with international cuisine.
Leisure: Relax and unwind after your travels with a glass of wine or tea at the hotel’s luxurious lounge.

Day 2: The Legacy of Freedom

Morning: Visit the W.E.B. Du Bois Center to learn about the influential Pan-Africanist’s contributions.

    Will I need a visa to visit Ghana?

    Yes, U.S. passport holders must obtain a valid visa before traveling to Ghana. If you hold a CARICOM or another international passport, we recommend checking with your local Ghanaian embassy or consulate for entry requirements.

    🔹 Your passport must have at least two blank pages for visa stamps.
    🔹 It’s best to have at least six months of validity beyond your arrival date.

    Do I need any vaccinations before traveling?

    Yes, Yellow Fever vaccination is required for entry into Ghana. We also recommend:

    Which airport should I fly into?

    All flights should be booked to Kotoka International Airport (ACC) in Accra, Ghana.

    What time should I plan to arrive?

    For a seamless experience, please schedule your flight to arrive on July 15, 2025, in the morning or early afternoon so you can settle in before our Welcome Dinner at 7 PM.

    When should I book my flight?

    As soon as possible! Flights fluctuate, and booking early helps you lock in the best rates. Once your spot on the trip is confirmed, we suggest securing your airfare right away.

    To keep things intimate and exclusive, we cap our trips at 25 travelers.

    How does the deposit and payment plan work?

    To secure your spot, pay in full for the best price OR pay the deposit indicated if you choose one of the two payment plans. The remaining balance can be split into manageable monthly payments.

    What if I need to cancel?

    All payments are non-refundable, but we do allow transfers. If you can’t attend, you may transfer your spot to another traveler. Safe Passage Africa does not offer refunds.

    When is the final payment due?

    Your full trip balance must be paid by June 1, 2025.

    Is travel insurance required?

    Yes! To protect your investment, travel insurance with trip cancellation coverage is required. We recommend:

    When will I receive the final itinerary?

    A fully detailed itinerary—including airport transfer details, hotel information, and activity schedules—will be sent to you at least 21 days before departure.

    Do I need to know another language?

    No—English is widely spoken in Ghana, and our team will be there to guide you every step of the way!

    Are trip details subject to change?

    While we carefully plan each detail, flexibility is key when traveling internationally. Adjustments may be made due to weather, political situations, or local considerations, always with your safety and experience in mind.
